Modelling Multi-users Tasks
نویسندگان
چکیده
• To improve understanding of the application domain, in this case designers develop task models corresponding to the existing application and the modelling work can stimulate the request of many clarifications whose need may not be perceived just reading textual descriptions or documents; • To support effective design, in this case designers develop an envisioned task model of a new application incorporating requirements received (for example to use some specific technology or to overcome some limitations for end user that occur in current applications) and the various information contained in the new task model can support the design and implementation of a concrete user interface; • To perform usability evaluation, to compare how users interact with an application and the related task model (Lecerof & Paternò 1999) can be useful to understand limitations of the current design, whose improvement may imply changes in the corresponding task model.

Supporting Focus and Context Awareness in 3D Modelling Tasks Using Multi-Layered Displays
Most 3D modelling software have been developed for conventional 2D displays, and as such, lack support for true depth perception. This contributes to making polygonal 3D modelling tasks challenging, particularly when models are complex and consist of a large number of overlapping components (e.g. vertices, edges) and objects (i.e. parts). Research has shown that users of 3D modelling software o...
متن کاملTask Modelling in Multiple Contexts of Use
The context of use in which users are carrying out their interactive tasks is continuously submitted to an evolution in the user population, the computing platforms used for the tasks, and the physical environment in which users are living. This evolution process raises a need for extending traditional task modelling to support multiple contexts of use simultaneously. To address this problem, t...
متن کاملExamining the Effect of Smartphone on Musculoskeletal Disorders and Neck Kinematic Among Smartphone Users in Different Postures and Tasks
Background and Objectives: In the last decade, the smartphones have become one of the most popular technologies around the world. Due to the multi-functional use of smartphones, the technology users spend long hours using it. Methods: This was a semi-experimental and experimental study. In the first section, 98 students entered the semi-experimental part and completed demographic and body map ...
متن کاملA Multi-touch System for 3D Modelling and Animation
3D modelling and animation software is typically operated via single-pointer input, imposing a serialised workflow that seems cumbersome in comparison to how humans manipulate objects in the real world. Research has brought forth new interaction techniques for modelling and animation that utilise input with more degrees of freedom or employ both hands to allow more parallel control, yet these a...
متن کاملModelling User Tasks with the Unified Modelling Language
This paper discusses the extension of the Unified Modelling Language (UML) for modelling tasks and user groups. The term task is used widely, to include collaborative and multi-user tasks and without reference to some specific theory of user task knowledge or behaviour. The paper presents the proposed extension to the UML, focusing on the concepts involved and the abstract syntax for the notati...
متن کاملConcept-based Context-Modelling System for the Support of Teaching and Learning Activities
The goal of the concept-based context modelling system (CCMS) is to facilitate accurate background information resources, and thus assist users in their teaching or learning activities. In general, the presented solution approach is based on the experiences (i.e. implementation and evaluation results) made at IICM with dynamic background libraries (DBLs). Thus, the CCMS can be seen as an enhanc...
